The inequality of weapon flags as well as the vast number of various weapon types had led to a significant lack of balance between not just weapons in general, but of weapons within similar groupings. For example, we'll look at daggers and sabres. Daggers being one of the most abundant weapon type gives a player a few options in terms of flags and vulns, whereas there is typically only one sabre for each damage type. While that ensures a Wardancer will be able to hit a vuln, lacking other key flags makes the weapons weaker overall.
While the intended goal is to try to tone down powerful flags such as Sharp and Vampiric, and bring up neglected flags such as move/mana drain, this idea is to try to promote weapon consistency in addition to giving each weapon type a unique flavor. This isn't something that will go in without some review, and any suggestions would be immensely helpful to try to promote more weapon diversity, so that no weapon becomes all-purpose.
Note the stats assume that sharp would no longer be a 15% bonus to all damage, most likely something like 10% high end and vorpal would be 10% low end instead of 5% all damage.
